our mission:
- To develop a fully functioning and effective organization that encourages team work, as well as individual skill-sets to promote a pioneering, self-sufficient and sustainable lifestyle in the event of natural or man-made crisis.
- To offer our abilities first to family, friends, and neighbors, then to our community in times of distress.
- To promote the ideals of liberty and freedom as set forth by the founding fathers and the Constitution.
The North Georgia Community Emergency Response Network, (CERN), is a group of individuals dedicated to the ideals and activities of the independent pioneering spirit of the people that formed our communities and the United States.
We believe there is much to be learned from our forefathers. These were tight-knit communities of individuals that learned the need to depend upon themselves, and each other, to survive in difficult times.
Our goal is to first educate our members with the skills, healing methods and survival techniques that may be needed and useful in any extended trauma or disaster. Our desire is to share this knowledge with others living in our community to make us more effective than the sum of our parts.
By partnering with local and state Emergency Management resources, our group, and our community will be ready to respond to any and all adverse situations that threaten the well-being of us all, where we live.
From serving our communities through search & rescue, preparedness and disaster mitigation, to supporting our nation’s founding principles through vigorous fulfillment of our civic responsibilities, we are leading the way and setting the standard.
Trust and respect for each other is a vital component of CERN.
It is accomplished by the giving of our time and commitment to our stated purpose. Trust forms lasting bonds and friendships with people who share similar goals, and defines a strong community.
We are currently seeking individuals and families at any level of preparedness, training, or ability to join us as we make our part of Georgia a lantern shining through the fog. We ARE NOT a militia, and do not play "Army" in the woods.
